my own writing...but i don't think so.
however--one can't help but
imagine things--one theme
keeps reoccuring...
in a city the size of NY, surely
there would be some few able
to react to the 'other' with some degree
of equinamity.... scream, run, faint--
such a cliche!!! so that...
"...you turn to look--it is looking back
at you--it is alive, aware and thinking--
and it is not an animal, but it is not
human...it is the 'other'..."

from Movie-Since we are to assume that
no one knows who the Nightwatcher is--
therefore, it is axiomatic that, of course,
'he' is a human being--
so then, why does Leo go looking for 'him'
on a sort of vigilante pilgrimage of his own--
even tho' he has, from early childhood, been
conditioned not to allow himself to
be seen by humans??
(excursus:if my chronology of event sequence
is off here, somebody say so...I only saw
the thing seven times-& I may not be
remembering sequencing accurately)
Leo sets off after Sensei has hinted that
he must get the team together-meaning that
it is his duty to hunt down his brother Raphael
and bring him home.
(scene: Splinter sez his thing, Leo stalks up
the stairs after saying: "Yes, Sensei.")
all this takes place after their first encounter
with one of the 13 beasts-which conflict was
preceded by the assembly on the roof
wherein Leo made some disparaging
remarks about the Nightwatcher--
and was immediately confronted by
Raphael and his "took up the slack" accusation.
do you suppose... in that moment of
his brother's refutation -hotly and emphatically
expressed-Leo begins to have some suspicions?
because- he does go looking for this 'vigilante'
and when he finally chases, corners and confronts 'him'-
--we see him pacing back and forth,
LECTURING!!! (where have we seen that before?)
here's this mutant turtle-in plain sight of a
human-(supposed) & making no effort to conceal himself

uh-huh... I do think Leo knows who the Nightwatcher
really is---
So, when the helmet comes off ..
I think I hear an exclamation point along with
the question mark as Leo shouts: "RAPH?!"

some of Leo's remarks during the pre-fight
go-round- about anger causing defeat- are just a
little too 'pointed' at a certain hot-headed brother
for there to be any doubt that he (Leo) knows all
too well just who he's facing..

Surely, you do realize that there's all
sorts of trouble this no-responsibilities
elderly female could get into
if she didn't have this particular obsession
with the effects of teratogenic agents
