Rationale--Again!

fr. the Concise OED:

A while back, I expressed some doubts
about putting any of my opinions and
experiences on this 'blog' thingie..
It was originally & primarily conceived as a bibliography/catalog
of those authors whose writings accorded
with the criteria expounded in the 'foreword'--
with the excursus of meeting standards of
literate prose composition.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
When I first encountered the FF & found
some very well done stories about Ninja Turtles..
I acceded to the pleas of the writers and (daringly)
entered 'reviews' for those stories that I thought well of--
Always, I have felt a bit hesitant about so doing...
After all, I haven't the guts to post my own writings..
What gives me the Chutzpah(sic) to think that I
could/should tell another writer that I liked his/her creation???
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
My only justification would have to be the old adage of:
"If you can't say anything 'nice*'...don't say anything at all!"
*constructive, positive, complimentary, appreciative...
And so I did...if a story was not well crafted, words unwisely chosen--
grammar breaking rules (with no 'nod' to the verities) &
any of the other sins of composition..
The Greek (Grecian) alphabet letter 'K'(greshunkai)
was silent...

So! There is now/then a justifiable excuse for me to
enter my own personal comments/opinions on this
blog thingie!!!(Hurrah! Ahem!)
From now on, I'll be leaving 'reviews' here--
when/if I encounter any good thing on the FF!
