Kappa Tracks

"A story is made up of words and characters. Are the words well chosen and do the characters live? All the rest is literary gossip."

My six decade love affair with the English language compels me to offer a list of authors whose work meets my critical standards. The single criterion operant is the quality of the prose as composed by the writers. I have made no discrimination whatsoever as to subject matter, theme, or plot.

Therefore be warned!

A great many of the works here listed may involve themes or subjects repugnant to some readers. I can only advise that if a particular story cannot be stomached, go on to the next; you will find at least a few to be to your taste.

chronology..

klikt on 'publish' for the 'my take' entry
on 7May'07, but 'blog' thingie put it under the
date of April 26..so if anyone's interested,
you'll find it there..

alright, dagnabit...
I'm frustrated(& I think there are other
T-fen in a like mode..)-when I can recall
some details or an incident from a 'story'--but am not able to
remember either the title or the moniker*of the writer-
*moniker(Am.slang, a person's name--
used here as synonym/substitute for 'pen name' , 'nom de plume','alias', 'aka', etc.)
so...!
here we go again- I spent all of May/June of last year('06)
scribbling on 3x5 cards--recording author/title data to enable
the establishment of this 'track' thing--
& I'm gonna do it again--
only this time I'll be adding a bit of synopsis &
perhaps a 'quote' of phrase or sentence that I think
may be memorable enough to aid in the
recall of the whole story--
result: just maybe, such a 'cat' will provide
a resource for anyone attempting to locate
a particular story..
I should also try to categorize as to basic theme.
Examples: angst, chibi, t-cest, romance, death, etc---
(It's possible that author's own labeling will provide
sufficient information--
