My six decade love affair with the English language compels me to offer a list of authors whose work meets my critical standards. The single criterion operant is the quality of the prose as composed by the writers. I have made no discrimination whatsoever as to subject matter, theme, or plot.

Therefore be warned!

A great many of the works here listed may involve themes or subjects repugnant to some readers. I can only advise that if a particular story cannot be stomached, go on to the next; you will find at least a few to be to your taste.

Once more...

..into the fray, dear friends...

Ventured to the SS recently, somewhat timidly, I'll admit...never quite
sure of my welcome there...not all that competent with these gadgets...
but did manage to sign in and vote in the '11 competition...
to choose the best fictions appearing last year on the T's fanfic site.

Checking back to see if fellow fen agreed with any of my choices...

oh well.. chacun a son gout..as the old lady said when she kissed the cow...

at least, the G-cat got chosen as one of the best established writers...
..one can be thankful for small miracles, I suppose..
