Oh, for Pete's sake!!

I got one of those 'bot' messages yesterday..
Somebody had nominated (jan17) in the SS's
'09 competition...
the bot-mail offered the option of 'withdrawal'
so I did...
with a reply note..(pm) to Willowfly
acknowledging my recognition of the honor bestowed..
however...my oft stated(in this blog)reasons for not
putting any of my own 'stuff' on the FF...

Is there a word* that describes an action that is nine degrees
more compelling than that meant by the word: "browbeaten" ?
Whatever it is...my grandson used it on me during his visit last week.
(For the record, he is a most competent composer of prose and his
editorial assistance was greatly appreciated.)
I'm not going to alert anyone to this...you'll have to find it for yourself.
Grandson "convinced"(such a mild word) that with a few bits of
re-write, another of my 'stuff' was ok for the ff.
Actually, I can almost believe he has a point...to wit:
Once one has completed a 'story'..it it so longer solely the possession
of the creator...but must be shared with the community of those
with similar interests.
