My six decade love affair with the English language compels me to offer a list of authors whose work meets my critical standards. The single criterion operant is the quality of the prose as composed by the writers. I have made no discrimination whatsoever as to subject matter, theme, or plot.

Therefore be warned!

A great many of the works here listed may involve themes or subjects repugnant to some readers. I can only advise that if a particular story cannot be stomached, go on to the next; you will find at least a few to be to your taste.

Swallow was the winner of the contest with her entry "Who Is Luna Star". For writing the baddest badfic, she won a free fanart commission from Sneefee, who was very kind to donate the reward.

Re: t-fic disgust... I'm curious, by t-fic do you mean turtlecest fics or is it short for tmnt fics?

If you mean the former... YES! Well, yes to both, really. But especially the former. I enjoy anything that is well written and stays true to the characters. I don't even mind if they're written as dynamic characters, so long as the starting point is familiar. But when I see blatent altering the TMNT's well-defined personalities for no reason other than to suit the whim of some fangirl's personal kinks... GRR! Especially when they've put no effort into getting me to 'buy' the change, no attempt to explain themselves whatsoever... grrr! That's one of my biggest fandom pet peeves for sure.

I loved what you said in a previous rant denouncing fics where one of the turtles turns out to be a female and suddenly has all these sexist suzie home-maker inclinations... I think the same can be said for turtlecest fics where one is portrayed as submissive. Being a 'bottom' does not necessarily make one lilting and delicate, or mushy with romantic notions. Seeing them written as girly just because of their portrayed role in a sex scene drives me up the wall!

Ivy-chan's parody on the subject pretty much sums up my frustrations in a most hilarious fashion...

reply to Winny & the TT cohort-yes!I knew there were more than 4 of you..had a list somewhere, but couldn't find it in the mess...

n.b, the 'T-fic' abbrev. refs to the whole of the TMNT fan fiction enchilada..the T-cest category I shyly approach--(am entering my 8th decade-so I'm allowed, yes?)as in the foreword to this blog thing--I have no preferences as to theme/subject--well wrought writing is the only criterion...

only need to say further that I most deeply appreciate any communication/comment from my 'fellow' T-fen(*)
